Proverbs 20:17 warns that things gained by deceit might feel sweet at first, but they ultimately leave us hurting. In contrast, Psalm 84 paints a picture of lasting joy and fulfillment when we dwell in God’s presence and delight in Him. And in Luke 22, even Jesus faced a difficult choice—He wanted the easier way, but He trusted God’s plan over His own desire.Life often presents us with quick fixes or shortcuts, especially at school or in relationships. But true satisfaction comes from making choices that honor God, even when they feel hard or less exciting. Dwelling in God’s presence, trusting His will, and saying “no” to deceit or selfish gain leads to a joy and peace that lasts far longer than temporary pleasure.________________________________________THINK ABOUT IT1.
