Have you ever noticed how the words we speak can change the atmosphere in a room? Proverbs 16:23 tells us that wise hearts speak in ways that are persuasive and full of wisdom. Words have power to heal, encourage, or tear down, and when we choose our words carefully, we bring life to those around us.
But sometimes, life can feel like a battle, like Psalm 60 describes. We face challenges, and we may feel weak or helpless, but we are reminded that true victory comes from God. Just like the psalmist calls out to God for help against their enemies, we too can trust in God’s power and His ability to help us in our struggles.
Finally, Ephesians 2 reminds us of God’s incredible mercy. Even when we were lost in sin, He reached out and saved us by grace, making us alive in Christ. This new life in Christ should shape the way we speak and act, reflecting His love and grace in all that we do.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. The Power of Words: How do you use your words with those around you? Do you speak in ways that build others up? What can you do today to speak more wisely and kindly?
2. God’s Strength in Struggles: Are there battles you’re facing right now, whether big or small? How can you trust God to help you, as the psalmist did?
3. Grace in Action: How does understanding God’s grace to save you change the way you interact with others? How can you show grace to those around you?
