Maybe it was agreeing to something without thinking it through or saying “yes” just to fit in. Proverbs 20:25 warns that rushing into choices without wisdom can become a trap. Meanwhile, Colossians 1 reminds us that Jesus is the ultimate authority over all things—He holds everything together, including our lives. When we make decisions with Him in mind, we tap into His wisdom and guidance.Life is full of moments that require careful thought: who you spend time with, how you respond to challenges, or what goals you pursue. Knowing that Jesus is in control and that He created all things to work through Him gives us confidence to pause, reflect, and make choices that honor God. Decisions made with prayer and wisdom are rarely wasted—they align our lives with His plan and protect us from unnecessary pitfalls.________________________________________THINK ABOUT IT1. Seek Wisdom in Choices: Who can you ask for guidance or prayer when faced with a big decision, and how can God’s Word help you make the right choice?________________________________________BOTTOM LINEPause, seek God’s guidance, and make decisions with wisdom, trusting that He holds your life in His hands.________________________________________PRAYERHeavenly Father, thank You for being in control of every part of my life. Help me to pause and seek Your wisdom before making decisions, and guide me to choices that honor You. Teach me to trust that You hold all things together and that following Your guidance leads to life and peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
